Rates
General Transcription:
Interviews, meetings, etc. are billed by the audio minute, enabling us to provide you with the exact cost of each transcript before we begin.
Rates vary depending upon factors such as the number of speakers, complexity of the material and turnaround time.
To request the rate for a specific project, please use our Contact page, and provide as much of the following information as possible:
  Type of project and number of speakers (one-on-one interviews, group meeting,
    etc.)
  Length, type and quality of recording (e.g. three hours, .mp3, professionally
    recorded)
  Brief description of subject matter (food safety, fisheries management, zoning
    regulations, etc.)
  Turnaround time (prefer 7-10 days, absolutely need by 11/15, etc.)
 
Legal/Court Transcription:
Trials, depositions, hearings, etc. are billed per page, as is standard in the industry.
New England Transcription is an Approved Court Transcriber and Vendor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The page rates for Mass. Trial Court transcripts are determined by statute.
New England Transcription also partners with several court reporting and transcription professionals throughout the country as a subcontractor. Page rates are determined by the page format, required turnaround time, and level of requested product (a fantastic first draft or fully proofed and polished document.)

  Type of proceeding (U.S. Bankruptcy Court hearing, deposition, etc.)
  Length, type, source and quality of recording (e.g. two hours, .wav, court monitor,
    fair)
  Specific page format (Federal, similar or other)
  Turnaround time (Please note: Requests for dailies and rush orders are always
    welcome, but subject to availability. Your request will be responded to ASAP,
    within a few hours.)
